Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

This policy explains what personal information Know AI collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. Know AI is a product by Jufrey, and Jufrey is the "data controller" for the information described here (the controller is the business that decides how and why your data is used).

How to contact us: email hello@jufrey.com and we will respond. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to.

What information we collect

Your lesson progress is saved in your own browser (local storage) on your device. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

Under UK data protection law we must have a "lawful basis" for using your information. Ours are:

What we doWhyLawful basis
Send you emails you asked forTo deliver the lessons and updates you signed up forConsent (you can withdraw it any time)
Provide the live AI practice and take paymentTo give you the service you are using or paying forPerformance of a contract
Measure how the app is usedTo understand what helps people learn and improve the product, and to keep it secureOur legitimate interests
Keep records of salesTo meet tax and accounting dutiesLegal obligation

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run Know AI, and we share only what they need to do their job:

We never sell your personal information to anyone.

Sending data outside the UK

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on legal safeguards approved for this purpose, such as UK adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data keeps a similar level of protection.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address for as long as you stay subscribed to our list. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it. We keep records of any purchase for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Analytics data is kept only for as long as it is useful for improving the product.

Your email list and any paid subscription are separate things. Cancelling a paid subscription does not remove you from our emails, and unsubscribing from emails does not cancel a subscription. You can leave the email list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. If you are a customer, we may occasionally email you about our own similar products until you choose to opt out.

Your rights

You have the right to:

To use any of these, email hello@jufrey.com. You can also unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email we send.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us too.

Cookies and analytics

We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool to count visits and see which lessons work. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.

Children

Know AI is written so younger learners can follow it, but it is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will remove them.

Automated decisions

We do not make any decision about you that has a legal or similarly significant effect using automated means alone.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including keeping payment and AI keys server-side and never in your browser.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
